Then – is used to show the order/time of two or more events. Then is used to show which event is first and which event is 2nd.

  • I am going to the store, then I am coming home.
  • We are going to New York, then we are going to Florida.
  • The are going to school, then they are going to the movies.
  • We are going to the city, and then we are going to vist our friends.
  • We are going shopping, and then we are doing for lunch.

Than – is used to compare two objects or people; than can be used with comparative adjectives

  • I like chocolate better than vanilla ice cream.
  • We rather live in a village than live in a city.
  • My sister is taller than me.
  • I am older than my brother.
  • They have more money than we do.
