There are a few different resume formats, and once you choose the best format for you, you must then customize that resume to your personal situation.

You might even choose to write your resume in 2 formats, and according to the job your applying for you decide which one to send.

Chronological Resume - The chronological resume is also known as a traditional resume format. This is a good choose to use if you have excellent work experience & education.

Functional Resume - If you don't a lot of work experience, & education, then the functional resume is the way to go. The functional resume that emphasizes your skill and abilities. The great thing about the functional resume is that you can emphasize all your skills you not only skill learned at work. Everyone has many abilities & skills that can be emphasized.

Combination Resume - The combination resume is a combination of the chronological resume & the functional resume. This is good for people that are not sure which is format to use, then the chronological resume is a great choose. The combination resume emphasis your experience & skills, that you acquired both thought work & outside of work.

Curriculum Vitae - CV's - The curriculum vitae a specific type of resume that is used only for certain positions & industries. The curriculum vitae gives detailed information about your skills & qualifications.
