Types Of Adjective
There are 6 types of adjectives in the English:
- Numbers: ten, fifty, one hundred
- Quantity: less, all, some, half, plenty
- Quality: color, size, shape etc.
- Possessive: my, her, their, your
- Interrogative: which, whose, what
Demonstrative: this, that, those, these
Adjectives also have 3 different levels of intensity
- superlative
- comparative
- nominative
It is very common to use adjectives with nouns. Adjectives are used to describe the noun.
There are different groups of adjectives:
Option - this group of adjectives are used to describe an option of someone or something. It is not a fact. It can't be proved to be correct or incorrect.
Examples:
- I think that the store is great.
- We like good books.
- The girls like children's programs on the T.V.
Facts - this group of adjectives are used to describe.
Determiners are also adjectives.
